for me it was skateboarding videos. transworld videos, i guess. built to spill and modest mouse at first. i finally found something other than weezer, the who, the strokes, zeppelin, bob dylan, beatles, and the rolling stones that i loved (glossing over the jam band phase here). met some kids in a coffee shop who were into elliott smith lol annnnyway was it friends? napster accident? girl/boyfriend? a movie? tha scene? were you just that cool, man? wat?
